    Kathy Hochul Pardons Illegal Alien to Protect Him from Deportation

    New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul has intervened in a case being heard by the U.S. Supreme Court by officially pardoning an illegal alien who was convicted of a felony to keep him from being deported by the Trump administration. Many across the country are up in arms over the situation, saying that it shows Democrats care more about illegal aliens than they do the citizens they are supposed to be serving.

    The Supreme Court agreed to hear the case of Keisy Guerrero Mariano, a national from the Dominican Republic, who was the central focus of an argument concerning bond rights for noncitizens being detained for lengthy periods of time. In 2015, Mariano was convicted of second-degree assault and served time behind bars for the crime.
