The Department of Homeland Security on Monday accused Hilton Hotels of systematically refusing service to federal law enforcement operating in Minneapolis, Minn., amid an ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration and fraud.”When officers attempted to book rooms using official government emails and rates, Hilton Hotels maliciously CANCELLED their reservations,” DHS posted.”This is UNACCEPTABLE. Why is Hilton Hotels siding with murderers and rapists to deliberately undermine and impede DHS law enforcement from their mission to enforce our nation’s immigration laws?”
Accompanying the statement were screenshots of the cancellations.
Minneapolis has been a hot spot for immigration enforcement and has recently attracted attention to revelations of mass fraud involving the Somali expat community in the area.
Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., on Monday announced he would not seek reelection amid the scandal.
Hilton Hotels has not responded publicly to the allegations as of press time.
