Interior Secretary Doug Burgum went on national television Sunday and declared the algae that had turned the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool a murky green is gone, wiped out by new nanobubbler technology installed as part of a $14.6 million renovation ahead of America’s 250th anniversary.
“The algae is all gone,” Burgum told CNN’s Dana Bash on “State of the Union.” “If you go down there today and look at it, it is completely clean and clear.”
