Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump in Florida on Sunday about ending the war with Russia, which has gone on for almost 4 years.Zelensky said that he plans to discuss security guarantees with Trump during the meeting.
The meeting takes place at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s property in Palm Beach. Trump departed Washington for Florida before Christmas.Zelenskyy said that “territorial issues” would also be discussed. Russia launched missile and drone attacks on Kyiv and other areas on Saturday, prompting a response from Zelensky heading into the talks.
“We want peace, and Russia demonstrates a desire to continue the war. If the whole world — Europe and America — is on our side, together we will stop,” he said.
