President Donald Trump on Thursday warned Utah against moving to an expanded mail-in ballot voting system due to the potential for fraud in its elections.”It seems as though the Great State of Utah, which I won each time, and handily, is going to the All Mail In Ballot format of Colorado, and the rest, that always head LEFT, as soon as the move is made,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “We should stop Utah from doing this. All Mail In Ballots, dishonestly handled, are a big advantage for the Dumocrats, whose only Road to Victory, because their Policies are so insane, is CHEATING.”
“Does the Republican Party have any idea what is happening to it?” he went on. “Step by step, State by State, the Democrats are smiling all the way to the “Bank.” Stop the onslaught by either immediately terminating the Filibuster and/or pass THE SAVE AMERICA ACT!”
Trump has long been critical of mail-in voting, partially blaming his 2020 election loss on alleged fraud from the process. He has further been a champion of the SAVE America Act, a marquis voter ID bill that has languished in the Senate.
The same day, he warned Senate Republicans to eliminate the filibuster while they were in power, contending that Democrats would do so when in the majority to pass their own laws.
