NASA directs crew in International Space Station to wait inside ‘safe haven’ while repairs are done

Acting on an abundance of caution, NASA on Friday directed five of the seven crew members serving on the International Space Station to wait inside what’s called a “safe haven” while two cosmonauts make repairs. The “haven” is a docked SpaceX Crew Dragon “Freedom” spacecraft, CBS News reported. 
The cosmonauts are repairing cracks that have, on and off for six years, caused small air leaks, which is considered a top safety risk. Several attempts have been made over that time to repair the leaks. 
The Russian space agency noticed a small pressure drop in the transfer tunnel last month after a Russian cargo ship arrived, which prompted the repairs.
