President Donald Trump on Friday said that he’s heading into the Situation Room to make a “final determination” on the conflict in Iran. “Iran must agree that they will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. The Hormuz Strait must be immediately open, no tolls, for unrestricted shipping traffic, in both directions,” Trump said on Truth Social.
Trump said that mines in the waterway must be removed, and “nuclear dust” that is buried deep underground will need to be unearthed and destroyed.
“No money will be exchanged, until further notice. Other items, of far less importance, have been agreed to,” the president added.
The Washington Post reported, citing unnamed sources, that the U.S. and Iran have reached a tentative agreement to open the strait up and bring an end to the war. But Trump and Iran are still reviewing the agreement and nothing final has been agreed on.
