On Thursday, December 11, the City Commission of Springlake, Texas (pop. 145) became the 90th city in the nation, and the 73rd city in the State of Texas, to pass a Sanctuary City for the Unborn Ordinance.
The “Ordinance Outlawing Abortion, declaring Springlake a Sanctuary City for the Unborn” passed in a unanimous 3-0 vote. The City of Springlake, located between the cities of Earth (pop. 1,065) and Olton (pop. 2,288), is the fourth city in Lamb County to consider and adopt a Sanctuary for the Unborn Ordinance, following the cities of Olton (pop. 2,228), Sudan (pop. 958), and Amherst (pop. 671).
