On March 10, 2026, in Foley, Alabama, Daniel Hernandez-Lopez, a non-citizen, 32, was arrested for domestic violence strangulation after allegedly choking his wife during an argument. Deputies from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office arrived to find him unconscious after his 13-year-old stepson confronted him, allegedly lunged with a bicycle, and was punched repeatedly in the face by the teen until he passed out.
Hernandez-Lopez appeared intoxicated and possibly on narcotics. He was booked on March 11. No further charges against the boy. When the post reached social media, users celebrated the teen’s heroic intervention.
